Founded by Alex Pereira in 2011, Altus Equipment Company benefits from Alex’s three decades of experience working with his father and brother before opening his own shop. Initially, he worked for his father repairing and maintaining forklifts. After going out on his own he slowly started expanding into other types of heavy machinery; this allowed him to gain a wealth of experience fixing anything and everything regarding heavy diesel equipment.

Although Altus Equipment Company offers mobile-on site repair,  depending on the size and complexity of the job, equipment can be transported back to the shop to prevent any impact on their client’s pre-existing work. This grants flexibility both ways; the team can work at their own pace and with a great deal of leeway on approaching problems while the client avoids having any blockages on their job site. Not only can Alex and his team work on anything and everything, but they can also provide high-quality forklift rentals and have access to the best OEM and aftermarket parts around. Although based in Somerville, New Jersey, the company’s mobile ability means they have a much greater operating range than their competitors.
